Dreams

Sparks flew, over the avenue

And my heart, it skipped a beat

While Your eyes shine so bright

And I'm starting to believe

If you fall into my fears

Sweep them to the sky

Let the wind take them away

And keep my night quiet

Well I would love to dream

Yes, I would love to dream

The passing seconds, keep me guessing

As to when I should make a move

My thoughts are racing, in the nervous moments

I think you're mine to lose

If you fall into my fears

Sweep them to the sky

Let the wind take them away

And keep my night quiet

I would love to dream

I would love to dream

Open up, by letting go

Allow your heart to take control

Push your worries, miles away

There's no reason to be afraid

If I fall into your fears

I'll sweep them to the sky

I'll let the wind take them away

And keep your night quiet

You're always in my dreams

And I know you'd do the same for me

I would love to dream

So help me get some sleep

I would love to dream

And maybe someday, they will come true

The Reveal

DECEMBER 14, 9:33PM

It kept me wondering, the unimaginable brilliance of when life expands to become something more, something bigger. This was different. I felt it.

The more people grow up, the more often they become numb -- automations, repetitions, lacking imagination. Forgetting what's important for what's urgent, for getting by. What an exchange. What's worse, is the spirit is often buried under layer after layer of the mundane: Thank-you's that long ago lost their charm, with acts that are fine tuned and routine enough to make even the best seem stale.

Smiles worn as masks. No surprises or interruptions, no serendipitous. Today replayed tomorrow, just like yesterday. Extremely nice, but rarely kind -- the difference between correct and genuine, between perception and intention.

And as for special? Special loses its meaning with actors because it's just a performance. The performance may be spectacular, but once it's over, it's over, and it wasn't about you. It's just what they do. That's why dreams are so unbelievable.

Dreams are the reveal: The side we show to only those we know, and that know us. The time we spend chasing what is cherished, building trust and opening up -- exploring possibilities that become memories.

I saw her that night, and it was right: The build, the timing, the kindness.

Dreams are always that.

I saw her that night, and it was magical: The world slowed down to fit the pieces together.

Dreams are always that.

I saw her that night and felt the madness: Completely in over-my-head.

Dreams are always that.

I saw her that night,

And the dreams began...
