Saying Hello

Saying Hello

Saying hello

Means letting go

And every goodbye

Is a surprise

Waking up to tomorrow

While living in yesterday

I've been living in yesterday

All my yesterdays

Distraction is a unending interruption

A remaining question

It can be triggered by almost anything

A name, a story, a picture, a sound

It demands unbroken attention

To correct prior mistakes through action

The opposite accompaniment of anticipation,

It will push instead of pull until it gets its way.

Continuing until it finds a breaking point

Or until it summons the courage to for risk

Choosing either option can make it pass

Or with the introduction of distance

But with distance comes the chance of future disruption

Prolonged damage
